A smoothie bowl is packed with health and is pretty much another version of the trendy “acai bowl”.
My version is high in protein and micronutrients and is absolutely delicious! It makes for a great healthy breakfast, mid-day snack, as well as a pre/post-workout meal. It will not only fill you up, but provide your body with energy for the day. It’s also great for satisfying that sweet craving.
Smoothie Bowl Recipe
For the Smoothie Bowl
1 cup Berries, frozen
1/2 Banana, frozen
1/2 cup unsweetened Almond Milk
1 tsp of Spirulina powder
1 scoop Protein Powder
For the Topping
Add frozen berries, banana, unsweetened almond milk and protein powder in a blender (I used my Vitamix). Blend until completely smooth. The mixture should be thick – add a touch more almond milk if required to blend completely smooth.
Transfer into a bowl, add toppings, take a pic and enjoy! 🙂
