Hi, my name is Alicia and my fitness goal is to lift heavy metal to get STRONG while keeping a lean physique. I am 5′ 3″ and currently weigh 110 lbs. And my norm is to enjoy life while living a healthy lifestyle.

I’ve developed a passion for powerlifting and have been training as a powerlifter…and I do it for fun. I’m not competing and no one has been able to convince me to. 🙂

I’ve been relatively active for most of my life. I played several sports in school and several more recreationally throughout my adult life. I’ve been a member at several gyms and fitness classes (Orangetheory Fitness).  I own a fancy ass road bike, had a home gym equipped with treadmill, indoor cycle bike, Bowflex, free weights, etc. What I’m trying to get at is that I’m not new to fitness.

I have completed and received a Diploma in General Nutrition, as well as Sports Nutrition and Weight Loss. I’m always looking for more info and continue to read all things fitness and nutrition related. I’ve implemented and “tested” several nutrition programs along side my fitness programs. Nutrition and fitness go hand in hand; you can workout all you want, but if your nutrition is not on point, you will NOT see results in your body composition.

On another note, I also consider myself a foodie. Yup, I have a passion for food. Lol! I love to try different foods and different restaurants. Maybe it’s because I don’t enjoy cooking, I only do it for health…yes, all about that healthy lifestyle.

The purpose of this blog is to share my knowledge and experiences with you. I’m hoping to be able to motivate, inspire and to share what I’ve learnt. More importantly, I want to show that you can have all the different life experiences and foods while maintaining a healthy, balanced life. You don’t really have to give up anything! We can live a healthy, balanced life with few restrictions.
